Stunning Composite Deck Transformation with Mountain Views in Colorado Springs

Replacing Two Aging Decks with a Modern Outdoor Oasis

These homeowners came to us with a clear goal: replace their two elevated wooden decks with new, low-maintenance composite decks that would finally allow them to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views to the west.  Their wish list included durability, comfort, and a layout that offered plenty of room for entertaining guests or unwinding outdoors.

Expanded Lower Deck for Everyday Living and Entertaining

We collaborated closely with our clients to design a larger lower deck that would better suit their lifestyle.  The expanded footprint creates defined areas for lounging, grilling, and gathering with friends – all while maximizing the sweeping mountain scenery.

For the decking surface, our clients selected Fiberon Sanctuary Moringa, a richly toned composite known for its durability and low-maintenance.  To elevate the design even further, we installed a double board picture frame border in Fiberon Sanctuary Espresso, adding sophisticated contrast and a clean, finished look.

Steel Deck Railing with Lights Provides Warm, Inviting Ambiance

Safety and aesthetics came together beautifully with the Fortress Fe26 Traditional powder-coated railing system, chosen for its strength and timeless style.  We added a Moringa drink cap to create a functional surface for beverages while enjoying the view.  A Fortress stair-top gate provides additional safety without interrupting the design.

To enhance the space after sunset, we installed Philuminator mini-clear post lights from HighPoint Deck Lighting.  These subtle, elegant fixtures cast a warm glow along the railings – perfect for nighttime relaxation or evening gatherings.

A Relaxing Retreat Overlooking Colorado’s Pikes Peak

The finished decks offer a true backyard retreat, blending comfort, style, and durability.  With sweeping mountain views and premium low-maintenance materials, our clients now have outdoor living spaces they can enjoy all year long.
