Stunning Composite Deck with Gabled Deck Cover in Briargate

A Dream Outdoor Living Upgrade

Our clients loved their home in Briargate but felt limited by the small, outdated deck that came with it.  They envisioned a more functional, beautiful, and comfortable space that would truly allow them to enjoy the outdoors.  After consulting with our team, they decided to design and build a 280 SF composite deck with a gabled deck cover – a choice that would transform their backyard into the ideal retreat they sought.

Durable, Low-Maintenance Decking

The material selection was important to these homeowners.  They wanted a deck that not only looked beautiful but could also withstand Colorado’s intense sun, drastic temperature shifts, and seasonal moisture.  After reviewing multiple options, they chose to use Deckorators Voyage Mesa composite decking.

The premium decking material is known for:

  • Exceptional durability – designed to resist warping, splitting, and weathering.
  • Rich, natural wood tones – the warm Mesa color complements their home beautifully.
  • Low-maintenance – no annual staining or sealing required, giving them more time to relax.

The increased square-footage offers plenty of room for entertaining and enjoying the surrounding landscape.

Elegant Fortress Deck Railing

For the deck railing, our clients selected the Fortress AL-13 aluminum railing in Black Sand.  This choice combines strength with a sleek, modern profile.  Its powder-coated finish not only provides a bold contrast to the warm decking but also ensures long-lasting performance with minimal upkeep.  The clean lines of the Fortress railing add to the contemporary style of the space without obstructing the view.

Gabled Deck Cover with Vaulted Ceiling

To truly elevate the outdoor living space, we built a gabled deck cover – a design that creates an airy, open feel while providing shade and shelter.  The vaulted ceiling is finished with WoodTone‘s Canadian Ice Lager tongue and groove, giving the space a bright, inviting atmosphere.

This ceiling material brings warmth and character, making the deck feel like an extension of the home’s interior.  By choosing a vaulted ceiling, natural light can filter in while still protecting the area from harsh sun or passing rain showers.

The Perfect Outdoor Living Space

The result is a gorgeous covered composite deck that has completely transformed how our clients enjoy their property.  They now have:

  • A spacious area for entertaining family and friends.
  • A shaded retreat perfect for warm summer afternoons.
  • A durable, low-maintenance deck that will look great for decades.
  • A beautifully finished space that blends seamlessly with their home’s architecture.

Our clients couldn’t be more thrilled with their new outdoor living area.  With its combination of functionality, style, and long-lasting materials, this covered deck will provide comfort and enjoyment for many years!
