Windy Deck Transformed into a Custom 3-Season Room in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs 3-Season Room Conversion

After seeing a neighbors’ deck transformed into a beautiful 3-season room by Decks by Schmillen, our clients knew they wanted the same comfort, protection from the weather, and year-round usability for their own outdoor space.  They loved spending time on their deck, but Colorado’s strong winds often sent them back inside long before they were ready to quit enjoying the day.

Inspired by their neighbors’ success and determined to create a more functional outdoor living area, they reached out to us to design a custom solution that would preserve their views while providing meaningful shelter from the wind.

A Bright, Wind-Protected 3-Season Room

Working together, we transformed their deck into a bright, inviting 3-season room designed for comfort in all but the coldest months.  The new enclosure features:

  • Large fixed glass panels for unobstructed views
  • Glass doors for easy flow from the master bedroom to the 3-season room
  • Sliding windows for adjustable ventilation
  • A wind-resistant, enclosed structure built for Colorado’s climate

This combination allows the homeowners to enjoy their space without wind disruption – while still capturing the sweeping scenery they love.

A Stunning Outdoor Living Transformation

The finished 3-season room is open, airy, and filled with natural light.  It offers the feeling of outdoor living with the comfort of a protected retreat.  Our clients are thrilled with the transformation – and so are we.

The results are amazing!
