A Custom Pergola Designed for Privacy in Banning Lewis Ranch

At DBS, we thrive on the challenge of bringing unique outdoor living ideas to life.  Our clients in Banning Lewis Ranch wanted more than just a pergola – they needed a design that provided shade, style, and privacy for their large backyard patio.

Instead of adding stand-alone privacy panels, they envisioned a structure that tied everything together with one cohesive look.  After reviewing design ideas, our team collaborated with them to create a custom Cedar pergola with integrated privacy panels, ensuring both beauty and function.

The Pergola Design

The finished structure is a 12′ x 12′ x 8-1/2′ rough-sawn Cedar pergola, built with durability and elegance in mind.  To provide privacy, we constructed panels from 1″ x 6″ Cedar boards with 3/4″ spacing up to a 6-foot height, blending perfectly with the pergola’s frame.

We applied a custom-matched solid-body stain that harmonizes seamlessly with the trim of the home, giving the pergola a polished and integrated look.

An Outdoor Living Space with Privacy

The result is a beautiful outdoor living space where the homeowners can relax, entertain, and enjoy their backyard with the privacy and comfort they envisioned.  This pergola is not only functional but also adds a warm, natural aesthetic that enhances the overall landscape.
