Black Forest Reserve

690 SF Composite Deck with Under-Deck Drainage System

These homeowners have a gorgeous home in Black Forest Reserve, but the existing deck was a little outdated. Decks by Schmillen has built and maintained a deck at another property for them in the past. For this home, we worked together and designed a deck that is larger than the existing one.

After a thorough review of the available decking materials, our valued customers made the decision to use Deckorators Vista Ironwood for the decking and the divider and end boards.  We also had the stain for the support posts custom mixed to match the Deckorators Ironwood, a choice that truly reflects their unique taste and style.

We installed a Fortress Fe26 Traditional powder-coated panel system in matte black.  The owners added a side-mounted drink cap in the Ironwood material, and flat pyramid post caps.  At each end of the deck, a Fortress gate allows the owners to keep children contained in one area.

Under the main part of the deck, our customers added 246 SF of metal panel under-deck drainage system.  This innovative addition not only enhances the functionality of your deck but also creates a whopping 246 square feet of additional outdoor living space below the elevated deck, a perfect spot for relaxation and entertainment.
